Dreams.
We all have dreams.
Dreams come in different ways. Some big, some small. Some subtle, some strong.
The Legacy is built with a dream. The dream of making a community impact. The dream of giving people better options in pursuing their passion.
I stepped away for a day to be part of a photoshoot that traced the life of my profession. It was unfamiliar, slow, and demanded many hours to shape a few brief moments on screen. Still, there was quiet satisfaction in knowing I had given something of myself to a meaningful project, and to a friend.
Then came the brainstorming. Hours and hours of brainstorming, sharing ideas and thoughts, thinking hard how to bring this dream forward. Connecting others who share the same dream.
An idea took shape—to hold a career forum. People came with stories of their own, generous in spirit and willing to give. Another voice joined, bringing experience shaped by independent work. It was a modest beginning, the gathering small but the energy quietly affirming. Behind the scenes, the preparation was long and tiring, and that effort did not go unnoticed.
Late in the year, a community-based educational initiative came to life. It took immense effort to bring it together, but the experience offered a meaningful glimpse into what such a programme could be. The energy in the room was uplifting, and the enthusiasm of the students made the work feel worthwhile.
We rest.
Then, there was more brainstorming, more sharing of ideas—questions circling around what might truly create value, and how quickly it could take shape. Out of those conversations, a new initiative emerged, built through collaboration and layered roles.
Hours were spent in discussion, refinement, and negotiation; even the foundational agreements required patience. This was my first real encounter with what it feels like to begin something from the ground up—and that, in itself, was a lesson.
The work began with structured trainings, followed by careful preparation to ensure sustainability. Ideas expanded into recorded conversations, short talks, learning materials—anything that might find its way to those who needed it.
A small gathering later became a quiet milestone. Time was shared, connections deepened, and choices were weighed carefully against personal responsibilities. Trust was placed in the purpose of the journey. Looking ahead, the plans for the coming year felt steady and encouraging.
Somewhere in the journey, the landscape changed. Circumstances evolved. Priorities shifted. What once moved together began to move in different directions. Other dreams took over. Our individual dream.
And it is not wrong. It is only human.
